My Nana was born Dorothy Helena Warwick before marring my grandad Bill (who also has a site here) In
her early years of marriage she stayed at home to raise her two children the eldest Jeanette and the
youngest Ann (my mum) Once they had grown she had several jobs one of which was working for Better
Bake bakeries.
My nan wasn't a shy lady if something was on her mind she would speak it. I have many fond
memories of my nan but thing I remember the most is sitting in the evenings watching Prisoner Cell
Block H whilst I ate cream crackers and had a drink of milk whilst she always had Riveta and
Horlicks.
My nan was a wonderful lady who I felt kept our family together. She is sadly missed by all her
family.

nanny dot thats what we used to call you even though i was only six when u passed i can still remember u and have such good happy memories of when u used to be at mums when we got home from school and when i used to stay at ur house and u would send grandad down the shops to get his paper and he would always come back with a lucky bag for me i remember the jumpers u knitted the roland rat one and the victoria plum one i loved those jumpers ive still got the black doll u bought me the christmas before u died which mollie now plays with i named my first baby after u she has the same middle name as u (helena) mum always says im just like u with my ways (being stuborn and speaking my mind)and i think mollie is going to be like it too

Well mum at long last its lovely to have somewhere to remember you and dad by there is not a day that passes by where im not thinking of you .. as time has moved on and things have happened in my life i wish so very much that i had you my mum here with me to talk to they say there is no love like a mother's love .. there are so many things i remember about you some make me smile some make me cry ..I do hope you and dad are happy together and putting everyone in there place haha .. just like you did down here you are never far from me as i carry you in my heart always .. Miss and love you your daughter Ann xxxxxx
